Someone Tell Di Maria

When Angel di Maria was named as one of the best forwards by FIFA Pro Team (2014), my heart literally ached. Well, I guess that given the manner in which he exited Santiago Barnabeu for Old Trafford, the award was handy as a consolation and an ingredient to help him pick up the pieces and move on. And he did start life well in United, scoring some amazing goals; if I were to rate the goal he scored in the English Premier League, away at Leicester City. And that was all.

Watching him play in the recent past, you may wonder whether he is duly worth the thousands of dollars he is being paid weekly! Well, truth be told, Di Maria must now fully get rid of Real Madrid out of his mind, and accept the fact that he is now a Red Devil. All the potentials to turn him into 2014 World Cup’s best Argentine player are still intact in him. However, he must learn one thing which makes English Premier League unique; team work.

Over the recent past, he has painted the face of a lone ranger in United’s frontline; who is very hungry to score a goal at any coast, but with no success. His inability to shine has been United’s inability to be at their peak.
